It's not playoff baseball just quite yet, but with not only postseason spots, but also the ability to avoid a win-or-go-home wild card game on the line, these last few weeks are about as close we can get without actually facing the prospect of no baseball tomorrow.
Realistically, 2-of-3 in Toronto would be a terrific result, so the Red Sox don't have to win this game. But Porcello vs. Estrada is definitely thier best matchup of the bunch, so best not to waste it.
