Red Sox minor lines: Henry Owens remains broken

His last game was acceptable, suggesting things might at least be headed in the right direction. They are not.

Pawtucket L 1-5

Deven Marrero: 2-3

Henry Owens: 4 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 6 BB, 2 K
Pat Light: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

Well, so much for progress. Henry Owens is broken, and not in a small way, but utterly so. The nearest thing I can remember seeing to something like this is, frankly, Daniel Bard. No, he's not gotten quite that horribly inept, but with 41 walks in under 60 innings, Owens is stunningly, depressingly wild.

Portland L 1-6

Andrew Benintendi: 2-4

Luis Ysla: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

Man, I need Moncada up here just to have some options to choose from. Sure, Benintendi is awesome, but when he wasn't here plenty of games could just be ignored about entirely. With him up, each game is worth mentioning, but the Daily Benintendi Update just feels a bit weird.

Salem L 1-7

Mauricio Dubon: 0-4, K
Nick Longhi: 1-4, 3B, K
Rafael Devers: 1-4

Rafael Devers' June numbers still look quite good, but not as good as they once did. He needs to step on the gas again before this slips away again. At this point there's almost no way he'll make 2016 into an actively positive year, but we're even getting to the point where a late-season rebound won't be able to salvage "decent".

If he weren't 19 in Salem, this would all be quite concerning.
