Red Sox minor lines: Everyone needs to move up!

Promote ALL the prospects! Except Elias, I guess.

Pawtucket L 4-6

Deven Marrero: 1-5, 3 K
Sam Travis: 1-4, K
Blake Swihart: 0-2, 2 BB, 2 A
Rusney Castillo: 1-4, A

Roenis Elias: 4 IP, 11 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 1 HR

So here's the thing about putting a catcher in the outfield: they're probably going to have a pretty good arm.

Doesn't make it a good idea. I'm still definitely not on board. But the assists will certainly happen.

Also, Roenis Elias has a 4.04 career ERA in the majors over 280 innings. What on Earth is going on with him in Pawtucket?

Salem W 4-1

Yoan Moncada: 2-2, 2B, 2 BB, 2 SB
Mauricio Dubon: 1-4, 2B
Andrew Benintendi: 0-4, K
Nick Longhi: 0-4, K
Rafael Devers: 1-4, 2 K, E

After a record breaking hit streak comes to an end, Andrew Benintendi only can manage three games before going hitless again. And now he's got quite the bar to meet since Moncada just followed up his 0-for-4 night with this fantastic performance.

Greenville W 9-4

Josh Ockimey: 2-4, 2B, HR, BB, K
Kyri Washington: 2-4, 2B, BB, K
Luis Alexander Basabe: 1-5, HR, 3 K
Austin Rei: 0-4, BB, 2 K

Roniel Raudes: 5 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 1 HR
Jake Cosart: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

Well, Josh Ockimey is still in Greenville. He doesn't really seem to need to be in Greenville. Please remove him from Greenville. I don't quite know why I'm so antsy with him compared to Benintendi and Moncada, but he certainly belongs in the same conversation based purely on performance. Not projection, mind--I'm not that crazy--but certainly performance.

Raudes might not either, to be honest. I can't say for sure, but I suspect given scouting reports and the way these low-level full-season leagues tend to play out that he's basically capable of just throwing his curveball and forcing opposing hitters to answer it. While the other team kind of did here to the tune of four runs, on the whole, looking at his gaudy peripherals and general success, I kind of doubt that this environment can give him the sort of challenge that will actually force him to grow rather than just keep on doing what he's already good at.
