The Red Sox are aiming for a sweep of the New York Yankees Sunday night as they send David Price to the mound against Nathan Eovaldi.
While the weather doesn't look too bad, and th who can say with these sorts of things. But the Red Sox are certainly hoping to get this game in given the way they and the Yankees have been playing of late, even if it does mean that David Price misses the series against the central-leading White Sox. Wins are wins!
Not that a win is guaranteed. It was not long ago that Price found himself on the brink of another big lead lost. And then, instead, he struck guys out. A lot of guys out. And now we generally feel better about him. The Yankees are not a lineup that should really threaten to disrupt that momentum. But saying things like that is just asking for it, so I won't, unless you count that as having already done so.
Yes, yes, for what must be the fifth time already this season, I will commence the anti-jinx rituals.
First pitch is at 8:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on ESPN and WEEI.
