Red Sox - Indians game postponed (again)

No baseball tonight.

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox will have to make the trip back to Cleveland at some point in the next few months, as their April 7th game against the Indians has been postponed. The perfect end to an opening series marked by more than it's fair share of bad weather.

As bad as the weather is, the schedule implications might be worse. There's just no good time to get this one in that anyone can see. The best that anyone can seem to figure out is August 15th, when the Red Sox will be in between series against the Diamondbacks (at home) and Orioles (on the road). The only problem is, that day off is the last before September 1st, and would leave the Red Sox with 23 straight days of games.

Long story short, the Sox might have to bend over backward a bit to make this work. Perhaps even going so far as to make a 1-day trip in the middle of a homestand. Their bullpen will get a break today, but down the line, this could come back to bite them at a pretty annoying time.
