Another weekend game on television, another Yoan Moncada game on television (NESN, MLB.tv! The Red Sox are on the road, and amusingly enough, that actually might leave us with a more interesting lineup than if they were at home:
- Mookie Betts, RF
- Brock Holt, SS
- David Murphy, LF
- Travis Shaw, 3B
- Allen Craig, DH
- Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
- Blake Swihart, C
- Sam Travis, 1B
- Yoan Moncada, 2B
Starting Pitcher -- Rick Porcello
It seems like we get a lot of Mookie Betts on the road, for some reason. I don't know if that's him still getting the rookie treatment even after a season-and-a-third, or if he's just asking to play more, but Betts is set to overtake Brennan Boesche for the team lead in at bats with today's game. Either way, you don't usually have (probably) the best position player on the team riding the bus.
We also get the combined efforts of the Travii on the field at once as they continue their campaign to destroy each and every baseball in existence, as well as JBJ and Blake Swihart. The weak spots in the lineup are Murphy and Craig, which for a March 13th road game is actually quite something, even if we have to endure the reminder of the latter's existence down below.
But mostly it's all about more camera time for Yoan Moncada! Please keep it coming, Farrell
