Joe Kelly is in search of a ninth straight win Tuesday night as he takes the mound against the Orioles.
It's a pretty typical Red Sox lineup tonight, which is interesting, because it seems like the Sox have maybe decided against trying their outfielders in different positions? Mookie Betts has yet to play a game outside of center field, and with only two weeks left, the team's ability to get any meaningful look at their three outfielders in different spots is vanishing in a hurry.
The same is true of Hanley Ramirez at first base, but that's probably more to do with health than anything else. I think at this point the Red Sox--and perhaps Hanley as well--would just as soon call it a season for their left-fielder-gone-wrong, with an eye towards a less depressing 2016.
First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
