5.00 is obviously not the landmark number you really want to be aiming for, but it's surprising enough that Porcello even has a shot the way he pitched for most of this season.
Getting there, though, is not trivial. It will take a short scoreless outing, or a longer, low-scoring one to get him down into the fours. Given that he's allowed just four earned runs in 22 innings since his return to action in late August, that shouldn't be impossible. But he's also offered up three homers in his last couple outings--quite the red flag when you consider how big a factor the long ball had been in his initial struggles.
