Red Sox vs. Royals lineups: Rusney Castillo in right behind Henry Owens

It's Rusney Castillo's turn to play right field Friday night, and hopefully Henry Owens' turn to get his season back on track.

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Rusney Castillo is back in the lineup Friday night as the Red Sox send Henry Owens to the mound looking to get his young major league career back on track.

KANSAS CITY ROYALS BOSTON RED SOX
Alcides Escobar - SS Mookie Betts - CF
Ben Zobrist - 3B Pablo Sandoval - 3B
Lorenzo Cain - CF Xander Bogaerts - SS
Eric Hosmer - 1B David Ortiz - DH
Kendrys Morales - DH Hanley Ramirez - LF
Salvador Perez - C Travis Shaw - 1B
Alex Rios - RF Rusney Castillo - RF
Paulo Orlando - LF Blake Swihart - C
Omar Infante - 2B Josh Rutledge - 2B
Johnny Cueto - RHP Henry Owens - LHP

The results have certainly been mixed for Owens so far, but there's been less good than bad.  His first start was probably the best pitched of the three, with his second featuring a lack of control that wasn't fully taken advantage of and his third...well, the reason he had 10 strikeouts probably has as much to do with the fact that he couldn't get batters out any other way given the 10 hits and three homers.

All that is to say Owens could use a good one. A game pitched like his first with results like his second and peripherals like his third. He's yet to really produce the full package, and it'd be nice to have that from him tonight, particularly with the club in a relatively good place right now everywhere but the standings.

First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
