After their performances in Tuesday's game, there are few who will be upset that Hanley Ramirez will miss a second straight game against his former team. While the Red Sox will have to find something for Hanley to do at some point, that point, right now Red Sox fans are just relieved to see fly balls to left field being handled competently, and if all three are holding their own at the plate these days, all the better.
Of course, as we saw yesterday, it takes more than just an outfield (and a shortstop) to win a game. And right now, it might not matter what happens in the first six innings if the final three end up pitched by Boston's bullpen. Oh well, if nothing else, losing in Miami could get the Red Sox back in the "fight" for a top-3 draft pick. Probably not, and I know it's cold comfort, but if we have to lose because this team is 75% dumpster fire...
First pitch is at 4:10 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
