Game 97: Red Sox vs. Tigers

Not gonna lie, at this point we're entering morbid curiosity territory. Just how deep can this thing go? Will they hit 10 games again as in 2014? Will they go farther? We've been two weeks between wins at this point. A month isn't going to happen, but if it did, this season would at least be memorable, eh?

Even with morbid curiosity taken into account, though, the actual things that would have to happen to produce another loss seem entirely undesirable. A loss wouldn't be so bad given the season and draft positioning and the strange allure of total ignominy, but every bad game Rick Porcello or Pablo Sandoval or Hanley Ramirez has is that much less hope for 2016. So let's maybe just give that whole thing a miss and win a damn game for once.

Is it really so hard?
