Blake Swihart makes his return to the lineup Monday night as the Red Sox wrap up what has been a disaster of a series in Los Angeles.
The return of Swihart is basically the long and short of every positive on the team right now. The Red Sox have lost three games in Anaheim now, scoring all of one run over those 27 innings. And one of the few good things about 2015 just gave up seven runs in two innings. That their next game comes just hours later is a cruel quirk of the schedule, courtesy Sunday night's rain.
First pitch is at 10:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI. But if you have something to do tomorrow--or tonight, for that matter--do yourself a favor and give it a miss. After these last 27 innings, we all deserve a break.
