The Red Sox will try for a third time to score their first run of the season Sunday night as they send Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound against Hector Santiago.
I could complain about the continued presence of Mike Napoli both on the roster and in the lineup, but that seems a bit silly at this point. Not because he's done anything to justify his position or playing time this year, but because the Red Sox haven't scored in the first 18 innings of the second half, and singling out one player as a problem when the whole lineup is failing so monumentally just doesn't quite feel right.
Whichever way the lineup goes tonight, hopefully at least the low scores from Los Angeles continue. Eduardo Rodriguez remains one of the better parts of this unfortunate team. And with so few things going right, Red Sox fans just do not need anything more to worry about.
First pitch is at 8:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on ESPN and WEEI.
