Portland W 9-1
Marco Hernandez: 3-4
Carlos Asuaje: 3-5, 2 K, SB
Sam Travis: 1-3, 2 BB
Manuel Margot: 1-3, 2 BB, K
As Marc pointed out today, after doing little of note for the first five years of his career, Marco Hernandez has made himself worth watching this season. There's some BABIP stuff going on, sure, but his K-rate isn't egregious in the way it is for some guys having similar seasons (see: Guerra, Javier).
Salem L 4-9
Wendell Rijo: 0-2, K
Teddy Stankiewicz: 5 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR
Teddy Stankiewicz seems to always stumble right when it looks like he's about to get into another gear. He's definitely having some more homer issues this season than last, but other than that he does look like the same pitcher he was last year. Just with one extra messy game mixed in at any point in time. At this point, it seems like his season will look one way or another depending on where in the cycle he ends--on one of the bad notes, or right before it.
Greenville L 3-6
Yoan Moncada: 0-2, 2 BB, 2 K, E
Michael Chavis: 1-4, BB, K, POCS
Rafael Devers: 0-5, K
Nick Longhi: 2-3, BB
Lowell L 3-12
Luis Alexander Basabe: 0-3, BB, K, SB, E
Tate Matheny: 1-2, K
Andrew Benintendi: 0-2, BB, A
Victor Acosta: 0-4, K
Josh Ockimey: 1-4, 2 K
Tucker Tubbs: 1-4, 2B
Mitchel Gunsolus: 1-4, K
After a pretty unreal start, the Spinners are in a bit of a team-wide slump. Of this game's starting nine, only Victor Acosta was hitting better than .270.
GCL Red Sox L 2-3
Trent Kemp: 0-1
Yoan Aybar: 1-3, K
