Red Sox vs. Twins lineups: Betts moves down, Hanley and Castillo sit for game two

There's big changes in the lineup for Boston's second game of the day.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox already have one win today thanks to the efforts of Eduardo Rodriguez. Now they'll look to make it a day - night sweep Wednesday as they send Rick Porcello to the mound against Trevor May and the Twins.

MINNESOTA TWINS BOSTON RED SOX
Brian Dozier - 2B Dustin Pedroia - 2B
Torii Hunter - DH Brock Holt - RF
Joe Mauer - 1B David Ortiz - DH
Trevor Plouffe - 3B Mike Napoli - 1B
Eddie Rosario - RF Pablo Sandoval - 3B
Eduardo Escobar - LF Xander Bogaerts - SS
Chris Herrmann - C Mookie Betts - CF
Aaron Hicks - CF Blake Swihart - C
Danny Santana - SS Carlos Peguero - LF
Trevor May - RHP Rick Porcello - RHP

We've got some big changes, clearly. One perhaps long-term, others clearly just a result of the doubleheader.

With Mookie Betts' bat not having kept up with some of the others that are getting warm, if not outright hot, he will move down to seventh in the batting order. His second spot will be taken by Brock Holt, who takes over in right field for Rusney Castillo, while Carlos Peguero gets a rare start in left in place of Hanley Ramirez. And obviously Blake Swihart gets the start behind the plate after Leon started the day game.

It's certainly not "full strength," but that's what you get with three games in 27 hours. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
