Red Sox minor lines: Henry Owens hits his stride, Rusney Castillo returns in style

Rusney Castillo's return to minor lines may not come under the most auspicious of circumstances, but at least his first game back started with a bang.

Pawtucket L 5-6

Rusney Castillo: 2-5, HR, K, SB
Shane Victorino: 2-3, 2B
Ryan Hanigan: 0-2, BB
Allen Craig: 2-3, K
Garin Cecchini: 0-4
Sean Coyle: 1-3, BB

Henry Owens: 6.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 HR

Last three games for Owens: 19 IP, 4 BB, 14 K. He's starting to look a lot like his old self, which is kind of the theme for Pawtucket this year, with so many players struggling at the major league levels before returning and having success in the minors, like Rusney Castillo has immediately done here.

Portland L 4-6

Carlos Asuaje: 0-4
Sam Travis: 1-4, 2B
Manuel Margot: 2-4, 2B, 2 SB

Williams Jerez: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

Manuel Margot enjoys his first legitimately good performance with the Sea Dogs. He struck out three times in his first 13 at bats after it took him something like 60 to K for the first time this season in Salem.

Salem W 6-3

Wendell Rijo: 1-4, BB

Without Travis and Margot, Salem is certainly the odd team out in terms of prospects these days. They do have their rotation, at least, but even that has its holes.

Greenville W 4-0

Yoan Moncada: 2-3, 2B, BB, K, 2 SB, E
Michael Chavis: 1-4, 2B, K
Rafael Devers: 0-4, K
Nick Longhi: 1-3, 2B, BB, 2 K
Javier Guerra: 1-4

Nice to see life from Yoan Moncada. The leash is long with him even if the early expectations were high, but it definitely helps to see some results from time to time.,

Lowell W 6-5

Tate Matheny: 1-4
Tucker Tubbs: 1-3, 2B, BB
Josh Ockimey: 1-3, 2B, BB
Mitchell Gunsolus: 1-4, 2B, K
Victor Acosta: 2-4, 2B, K
Luis Alexander Basabe: 1-4, 3 K

Three multi-hit games in four tries for Victor Acosta. Not a bad start for a prospect whose hit tool is in question.

GCL Red Sox W 5-4

Trent Kemp: 1-3, BB, K
