The Red Sox entered their last series against the Twins with some semblance of hope, having looked like a team on the comeback trail against the Angels. Since then, they've dropped six of seven. Barring a miracle, the sweep at the hands of Minnesota likely to go down as the dagger in this unfortunate season. With the Sox playing four games against them in the span of 45 hours, they now have the chance to deliver a swift coup de grace to this far-fallen team.

So that's cheery. But look on the bright side: Eduardo Rodriguez is pitching tomorrow! And hell, even Clay Buchholz has been entirely passable for a month or so now. So we've got that going for us.

First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET on NESN and WEEI.
