Pawtucket W 5-1
Eduardo Rodriguez: 7.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K
Oh, wait...
Portland L 0-2
Carlos Asuaje: 0-4, 3 K
Justin Haley: 5 IP, 9 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
The slump is real for Carlos Asuaje. He's had one hit since those two bombs a few days back, and nothing shouts "slump" quite so loudly as a hat trick. He's got a nice buffer from his first two months, but hopefully he'll be back ot it before long.
Salem W 7-2
Sam Travis: 1-5
Wendell Rijo: 1-4, 2 K
Ty Buttrey: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
Don't min Ty Buttrey. He's just chugging along putting up good outing after good outing. He had two games with big walk totals, and that's pretty much the worst thing you can say about his season. The best thing is that he's got a 2.42 ERA. Or a 3:1 K:BB. Or that he's keeping the ball on the ground. Or that...well, you get the point.
Greenville W 5-4
Rafael Devers: 3-5
Nick Longhi: 2-5, 2 K
Yoan Moncada: 1-5, 2 K, E
Javier Guerra: 3-4, 2 2B, BB, K
Michael Chavis: 1-5, K
At some point, you stop worrying about a guy like Javier Guerra's strikeouts and just say he can hit. That day is not today. But it's getting closer, and the fact that so many of his hits go for extra bases is no small part of that.
