Baseball is underway, and in less than an hour, the Red Sox will join the fray, taking on the Phillies in the first game of their 2015 campaign.
For those taking in the earlier games, we've already got some nice New York schadenfreude going on. A Chase Headley error sent the third inning spiraling out of control for Masahiro Tanaka, leaving the Yankees facing a five-run deficit. Of course, it's entirely possible that the Blue Jays are the bigger threat in 2015, but let's leave those thoughts for a later date. For now, let's just stick to our traditional biases.
It's been a long time coming. We've got Mookie Betts leading off, Hanley and Sandoval getting their first real at bats, and hopefully the beginning of turnaround seasons for most of the bottom half of today's lineup. The marathon begins today.
Go Sox!
