Spring training has a way of making March the longest month of the year. But April is here, and if the meaningless games have managed to linger for a few days, they'll finally come to an end after today. It's one more exhibition against the Twins, and then we're on to Philadelphia for Opening Day.
Boston Red Sox (16-12)
- Mookie Betts, CF
- Dustin Pedroia, 2B
- David Ortiz, DH
- Hanley Ramirez, LF
- Pablo Sandoval, 3B
- Mike Napoli, 1B
- Shane Victorino, RF
- Xander Bogaerts, SS
- Sandy Leon, C
Starting Pitcher -- Justin Masterson
With ol' man Hanigan's gauntlet about to begin, the Red Sox will give him one last block of days off by giving Sandy Leon the start with Masterson today. He's the only backup in the lineup, though, with the eight men who will hopefully provide the Red Sox with the punch they need to contend once more appearing in what was quickly established as their "usual" order.
First pitch is at 1:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
