It's hard to believe that David Ortiz is the veteran leader on the Red Sox. When he joined the team in 2003 he was a spry 27 - the theoretical peak for a hitter. At 28 a year later he became Big Papi and has been the veteran presence to outlast all other members of the 2004 World Series team.
Today however, from one old man to another, it's time for celebration: Koji Uehara turns 40 and gives Ortiz someone to poke fun at.
