With the day game after a night game, Sandy Leon will also take over for Ryan Hanigan behind the plate.

Having Brock Holt in left field should at least improve the defense behind Wade Miley. He's coming off a decent game  on the mound against the Rays when he kept them off the board for 5.2 innings, albeit with four walks to just three strikeouts. If he's going to pitch like that again, then having Holt out there should help, though it probably won't quite make up for Allen Craig in right.

In fact, Allen Craig's presence in right (rather than, say, Daniel Nava) is generally confusing given the right-handed pitcher on the mound for the Orioles. It feels like perhaps John Farrell is trying to get the one-time star going with some consistent playing time in Shane Victorino's absence.

First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN, WEEI, and the MLB Network.
