Neither the Sox nor the O's have had much success since they met last weekend. The Sox went 1-2 against Tampa Bay while the Orioles were swept by Toronto. Not an impressive showing from the two teams that left their series against eachother atop the A.L. East.
The Red Sox will try to right that ship without Xander Bogaerts, who was one of the only bats that seemed dangerous at any point in Thursday's loss. At the very least, he's being replaced by Brock Holt, Who Can Do No Wrong (full name), and this is perhaps one of the better ways to get a strong infield defense behind Rick Porcello, but it's a pretty rough hit for a lineup that needs to wake up.
First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN, the MLB Network, and WEEI.
