Red Sox vs. Orioles lineups: Brock Holt starts at third base

Brock Holt will start at third base for the Red Sox Monday morning if, that is, they manage to play a game at all.

It's Patriots' Day, which means marathons, early morning baseball, and apparently Brock Holt at third base for the final game in Boston's four-game series against the Orioles.

  2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  3. David Ortiz, DH
  4. Hanley Ramirez, LF
  5. Mike Napoli, 1B
  6. Shane Victorino, RF
  7. Brock Holt, 3B
  8. Xander Bogaerts, SS
  9. Ryan Hanigan, C

Starting Pitcher -- Justin Masterson

Baltimore Orioles (7-5)

  1. Alejandro De Aza, LF
  2. Jimmy Paredes, DH
  3. Adam Jones, CF
  4. Chris Davis, 1B
  5. Travis Snider, RF
  6. Manny Machado, 3B

Apparently, Patriots' Day also means rain this year. The tarp is on the field, and with first pitch just a couple hours a way, the forecast looks bleak. Patriots' Day baseball with the Marathon runners coming into Kenmore in the background is a tradition, and it would be a shame to see it lost to weather, but the rain doesn't stand on tradition.

First pitch, if we have one, is scheduled for 11:05 p.m. with broadcasts on NESN, the MLB Network, and WEEI. But don't count on it.
