The first try didn't take at all, really. And while usually it's the third time that's the charm, it'd be nice if the Red Sox could just get the first sweep in after two.
The team's depth is very much on display here. Minus Sandoval and Ortiz, this is still a lineup that can do some work, particularly against a left-handed pitcher like Gio Gonzalez. But after two of the pitchers who performed so well the fist time through jumped the tracks in their second outing, all eyes will be on Miley. Can he put the Nationals back to sleep and maybe get some of the positive vibes going for the rotation again? Let's hope.
