Game 9: Red Sox vs. Nationals

The first try didn't take at all, really. And while usually it's the third time that's the charm, it'd be nice if the Red Sox could just get the first sweep in after two.

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS BOSTON RED SOX
Yunel Escobar - 3B Mookie Betts - CF
Ian Desmond - SS Dustin Pedroia - 2B
Jayson Werth - DH Hanley Ramirez - LF
Bryce Harper - RF Allen Craig - 1B
Ryan Zimmerman - 1B Mike Napoli - DH
Wilson Ramos - C Shane Victorino - RF
Tyler Moore - LF Xander Bogaerts - SS
Dan Uggla - 2B Brock Holt - 3B
Michael Taylor - CF Sandy Leon - C
Gio Gonzalez - LHP Wade Miley - LHP

The team's depth is very much on display here. Minus Sandoval and Ortiz, this is still a lineup that can do some work, particularly against a left-handed pitcher like Gio Gonzalez. But after two of the pitchers who performed so well the fist time through jumped the tracks in their second outing, all eyes will be on Miley. Can he put the Nationals back to sleep and maybe get some of the positive vibes going for the rotation again? Let's hope.

Go Sox!
