Starting Pitcher -- Masahiro Tanaka

With the nightmare marathon of Friday now well in the past, the Red Sox have all hands on deck--or at least in the starting nine. They'll come up against a Masahiro Tanaka who has Yankees fans awfully worried after a rough first outing against the Blue Jays. One bad game is no big deal, of course, but when it comes hand-in-hand with Tanaka's serious health concerns? It's a nervous time in New York.

The Red Sox aren't completely disinterested in their starter, of course. Clay Buchholz had one huge game against Philadelphia, and really all of Boston's starting pitchers got off to a good start. Now they have to prove it was more than just a fluke. Just as one bad game is no cause for alarm, one good game isn't enough to really even suggest a successful season is in the offing. Neither is two, but it's closer than one.

First pitch is at 8:05 p.m. ET with broadcasts on ESPN and WEEI.
