Wade Miley will take the mound for his first game as a Red Sox against a non-collegiate team Monday afternoon as Boston hits Roger Dean Stadium again, this time to take on the Cardinals.

Boston Red Sox (3-2)

  1. Mookie Betts, CF
  2. Brock Holt, 2B
  3. Garin Cecchini, 3B
  4. Allen Craig, LF
  5. Travis Shaw, 1B
  6. Luke Montz, DH
  7. Christian Vazquez, C
  8. Henry Ramos, RF
  9. Deven Marrero, SS

Starting Pitcher -- Wade Miley

Unfortunately for Miley, this is not quite the defensive infield that he was promised when the lefty signed on. Deven Marrero is quite capable at short, don't get me wrong, but Shaw, Holt, and Cecchini do not live up to the reputations of Mike Napoli, Dustin Pedroia, and Pablo Sandoval.

But he will be pitching to Christian Vazquez, and at least has Mookie Betts patrolling the outfield as today's starting lineup representation. Allen Craig will join them in left field, looking to continue his strong start to spring. His competition in Daniel Nava went 0-for-2 yesterday, but pulled a couple of walks in the process, making for a solid day to keep the pressure on Craig.

First pitch is at 1:05 p.m. EST with the Cardinals' radio station, KMOX 1120, providing coverage. Presumably for those with the appropriate subscription, that means MLB.com will have you covered.
