There has been a lot of talk about who the ace of the Red Sox pitching staff is. The Red Sox rotation would like you to know that it's the other guy.

Apparently, each of the five Sox starters -- Clay Buchholz, Justin Masterson, Rick Porcello, Joe Kelly, and Miley -- are all wearing these shirts today. It might turn out that none of these dudes are an ace, but hey, it's March, it's time for optimism and I'm happy to welcome it. If you want to read a bit more about the purpose behind them, Brian MacPherson has you covered at the Providence Journal.
This reminds me of a bit in the Super Nintendo cult classic "Earthbound", in which you are tasked with clearing out a mine of five gigantic, evil moles. Each of the moles claims to be the third-strongest of the bunch, even though they are the same sprite with the same stats and skills.
If all the Sox get out of their rotation is five number three starters, they'll be in a better place than those moles, at least.
