Red Sox vs. Mets lineup: Halfway through March, starters ramping up

We'll probably be seeing the (nearly) full lineup with some regularity from here-on-in. It's time to start looking towards Opening Day.

We've reached the halfway point of March, and while we're not quite half way through with spring training, it's about time for the starters to get ready to play every day. As such, we've got an almost full lineup once more Monday afternoon as the Red Sox take on the Mets in JetBlue Park.

Boston Red Sox (7-5)

  1. Mookie Betts, CF
  2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  3. David Ortiz, DH
  4. Hanley Ramirez, LF
  5. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
  6. Mike Napoli, 1B
  7. Shane Victorino, RF
  8. Xander Bogaerts, SS
  9. Ryan Hanigan, C

Starting Pitcher -- Joe Kelly

The Red Sox were on a tear through the Grapefruit League, but have suddenly dropped three straight games dating back to Friday, ending with a terrible pitching performance against the Phillies that saw Justin Masterson and Wade Miley combine to surrender 10 runs in just seven innings of work.

The good news is that, if you have been properly ignoring spring training resultsas you're supposed to, none of this should be terribly concerning.

For the second time, Shane Victorino and Mookie Betts are both in the lineup, with Betts leading off and Victorino batting seventh. This all-but-confirms what most have suspected: that Betts is the designated leadoff hitter, with Victorino only filling in when Betts is out for whatever reason.

First pitch is at 1:05 p.m. ET, with only the Mets providing a radio broadcast on 710 WOR.
