Mike Napoli is back in the lineup, but Brock Holt remains out Monday night as the Red Sox send Joe Kelly to the mound against the Baltimore Orioles.
It's good to have Napoli back at first, 1but the fact that Brock Holt is now missing his third straight game after leaving mid-game back on Friday for dizziness. It's more than a little concerning to see an innocuous thing like that lead to a long-term absence like this. There's no word from the Red Sox one way or the other just yet, but presumably if something is amiss, we'll hear about it before too long.
On a lighter note, Joe Kelly takes the mound with a bit of wind at his back. He's still not exactly setting the world on fire, but Kelly has provided the Sox with some reasonable innings these past few weeks, and looked particularly good early on in his last start. Kelly has his spot in the 2015 rotation locked up barring his departure in yet another trade, but it would be nice to have some reassurance that that's a good thing.
First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
