Red Sox minor lines: Pawtucket Advances, Rusney Castillo lifts Portland

The Salem Sox are out, but Pawtucket is on to the finals, while Portland aims to manage the same feat in Double-A behind Rusney Castillo.

Pawtucket W 7-6

Alex Hassan: 1-5, 2B, K
Travis Shaw: 2-4, 2B, BB
Bryce Brentz: 3-5, 2B, 2 K
Garin Cecchini: 0-4, BB
Blake Swihart: 1-3, BB
Deven Marrero: 0-3, BB, K

Henry Owens: 4 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 6 K

An unusually troubled start for Henry Owens, but the rest of the PawSox prove up to the task of backing him up and sending the Triple-A team to the finals.

Portland W 6-3

Rusney Castillo: 2-3, 2B, BB
Sean Coyle: 1-4, K
Keury De La Cruz: 1-4, 2 K

Eduardo Rodriguez: 6.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

Rusney Castillo seems to be finding his rhythm as his debut draws inevitably-if-indeterminately closer. Must be nice for the Sea Dogs to get a $72 million infusion of talent for their playoff run.

Salem L 0-5

Carlos Asuaje: 0-3, 2 K
Manuel Margot: 0-4
Cole Sturgeon: 1-3

This is an appropriately quiet end to Salem's season, I would say. Frankly that it lasted into September even with so few big names involved throughout the season is impressive enough in its own right.
