Red Sox vs. Orioles: Castillo in, Ortiz out

Rusney Castillo will start his third straight, but David Ortiz will sit out after hitting three homers in his last two games.

Justin K. Aller

It's three straight games for Rusney Castillo, who once again gets the start in center field behind Joe Kelly as the Sox attempt to bounce back from a rough Saturday night.

Today's Lineups

BOSTON RED SOX BALTIMORE ORIOLES
Mookie Betts - 2B Alejandro De Aza - LF
Xander Bogaerts - SS David Lough - CF
Daniel Nava - 1B Delmon Young - RF
Yoenis Cespedes - LF Nelson Cruz - DH
Will Middlebrooks - 3B J.J. Hardy - SS
Rusney Castillo - CF Christian Walker - 1B
Garin Cecchini - DH Ryan Flaherty - 3B
David Ross - C Caleb Joseph - C
Bryce Brentz - RF Jonathan Schoop - 2B
Joe Kelly - RHP Miguel Gonzalez - RHP

Notably absent from the lineup: David Ortiz, coming off of a stretch of three homers in two games. With John Farrell perhaps looking to keep Cespedes settled into the no. 4 spot in the batting order, Daniel Nava will jump up to third. He's not David Ortiz in terms of power, but he is sporting a .375 OBP since he was called up way back on June 4th, so it's not an entirely undeserved bump either.

Let's just...let's not talk about where Will Middlebrooks is hitting. Nobody needs that kind of aggravation in their lives right about now.

First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
