The Pawtucket Red Sox are the last mans standing in Boston's farm system, and now even with the Durham Bulls at one game a side in the International League finals. Even with most of the team's best players up in Boston, they've picked up plenty of depth from Portland in turn. Thus the latter's early exit from the playoffs, since while Salem did manage to reach the postseason, they weren't exactly filled to the brim with promotion-worthy talent.
The result: even with Rubby, Webster, Barnes, and Workman up in Boston, the Paw Sox are set to send Henry Owens and Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound in the next two games. Not bad.
