Pawtucket L 4-9
Alex Hassan: 1-5
Travis Shaw: 0-3, BB, K
Garin Cecchini: 0-4
Deven Marrero: 1-4, 2B
Matt Barnes had a positive outing last week, but this is the first time he's really impressed in a long while. Hopefully he doesn't follow the major league example of following up a strong performance with a few weeks of disaster. If any minor league pitcher could use a sustained run of success, it's probably Barnes.
Portland L 2-5
Sean Coyle: 0-3, BB, K
Keury De La Cruz: 1-4, 2 K
Portland W 4-1
Blake Swhart: 1-4, 2B
Sean Coyle: 1-4, 2 K
Keury De La Cruz: 2-4, 2 2B, K
Eduardo Rodriguez: 5.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 1 HR
Noe Ramirez: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Eduardo Rodriguez had a 4.79 ERA with the Double-A Bowie Baysox, but he's off to a good start in Portland. In fact, all of Boston's new post-deadline prospects have started strong in Boston's system. An encouraging sign with so many pitchers struggling to make the jump from minors to majors this year.
Salem W 5-3
Carlos Asuaje: 1-4, 2B, BB
Pat Light: 5.2 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 HR
Salem L 6-7

Greenville W 4-2

Sam Travis: 3-4, 2B, K

Greenville L 2-4
Manuel Margot: 1-3, BB
Tzu-Wei Lin: 0-4, 2 K
Sam Trais: 2-3, BB
July was a slow month for Manuel Margot, but the first three days of August have seen him produce a 1.556 OPS. So that's nice.
GCL Red Sox L 3-4

Luis Alexander Basabe: 0-4, BB, 2 K
Michael Chavis: 1-1, BB
Trenton Kemp: 0-3, BB, 2 K
