Game 109: Red Sox vs. Yankees

The fire sale is complete. Now all that's left is to play out the two-month string, starting with the Yankees.

Of course, that two-month string could be encouraging or depressing. A lot of that rides on the shoulders of the new faces and the kids. In that vein, we have Anthony Ranaudo, Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, Brock Holt, Allen Craig, and even Will Middlebrooks tonight.

(Maybe Yoenis Cespedes to boot if things change suddenly.)

We can't be expecting a bunch of wins--the Red Sox aren't going to get better by selling off Jon Lester and John Lackey. But they can at least look like they're maybe a couple steps away rather than a full-on mile.
