Red Sox minor lines: No slowing Rafael Devers

Four games into his stint in the GCL, Rafael Devers has shown no signs of slowing.

Pawtucket W 5-3 (In 10)

Travis Shaw: 1-4, HR, BB
Will Middlebrooks: 1-4, K
Alex Hassan: 2-5, 2B, K
Garin Cecchini: 1-5, 2 K
Deven Marrero: 0-4, 2 K

Allen Webster: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 6 H, 1 HR, E
Drake Britton: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

One thing that has not abandoned Travis Shaw in Pawtucket is his power. He's up to 17 homers on the season now, seven of those coming since his promotion, even if he's looked generally out of his element at the plate.

Greenville L 3-4

Cole Sturgeon: 0-3
Tzu-Wei Lin: 0-3, 2 K
Manuel Margot: 0-4, K

Quite the ugly game from Greenville, who seemed to be paying homage to the major league team by producing just five baserunners. Credit two errors for the three runs.

Lowell L 4-5

Nick Longhi: 1-4, BB, K

Kevin McAvoy: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Simon Mercedes: 3 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

McAvoy has one of those fastballs that should get him through the early levels without much trouble. It'll be interesting if that leads the Red Sox to be aggressive with promotions.

GCL Red Sox W 5-3 (In 7)

Rafael Devers: 1-3, HR, BB
Michael Chavis: 1-3, 2B
Trenton Kemp: 1-3, K

Ty Buttrey: 3 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

GCL Red Sox L 4-6 (In 7)

Josh Ockimey: 1-3, K
Rafael Devers: 2-3, 2B
Michael Chavis: 0-3, K
Victor Acosta: 0-3, 2 K

How long can Rafael Devers' GCL slugging stay over 1.000? Four games in and he still has some 200 points to spare.

DSL Red Sox W 13-5

Luis Alexander Basabe: 2-4, 3B, BB, K
