Red Sox vs. Blue Jays: The grind doesn't stop for one man

Jon Lester is being traded. Everybody is freaking out and basically not paying attention to anything else. But the Red Sox still have a game to play.

Rich Schultz

Jon Lester is all anyone cares about today, but here are the lineups anyway!

Today's Lineups

TORONTO BLUE JAYS BOSTON RED SOX
Jose Reyes - SS Brock Holt - 1B
Melky Cabrera - LF Shane Victorino - RF
Jose Bautista - 1B Dustin Pedroia - 2B
Dioner Navarro - C Mike Napoli - DH
Juan Francisco - DH Jonny Gomes - LF
Colby Rasmus - CF Stephen Drew - SS
Munenori Kawasaki - 3B Xander Bogaerts - 3B
Ryan Goins - 2B Jackie Bradley - CF
Anthony Gose - RF Christian Vazquez - C
Mark Buehrle - LHP Brandon Workman - RHP

David Ortiz in the lineup, so he's probably getting traded, right? No, not right. Not right at all. Shame on you for even considering it. It's probably just a matter of Mark Buehrle being on the mound for the Jays tonight.

Of course, with David Ortiz absent and Mike Carp presumably being traded somewhere for a player to be named later or cash, Brock Holt will get a rare opportunity to play first. Really we're all just waiting for him to get his shot on the mound or behind the plate at this point. It's been too long in coming.

First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI whether Jon Lester has been traded or not.
