Red Sox minor lines: The well-rounded Blake Swihart

Blake Swihart started the year with a power show. June, however, has left him looking like so much more.

Pawtucket W 10-0

Mike Carp: 0-3, K
Travis Shaw: 0-4, 2 K
Garin Cecchini: 1-4, 2B, K
Christian Vazquez: 1-2, 2 BB, K
Alex Hassan: 2-3, 2 2B, BB

Anthony Ranaudo: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K

After allowing 15 runs in his first 34 innings of work, Ranaudo has allowed 10 in his last 62. The peripherals have been more or less up-to-snuff of late too. He still probably ranks third in line for a stint in Boston, but he's come a long way from his injury-riddled 2012 season.

Portland L 0-2

Blake Swihart: 2-3, BB
Sean Coyle: 1-4, 2B, 2 K
Keury De La Cruz: 0-4, K

Noe Ramirez: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K

You can keep Portland from scoring runs, but you can't keep Blake Swihart off base these days, it seems. He finishes June with a .380 OBP on the month, and that was only going up as the weeks went by. It's hard to talk about turning points in a season that started as well as his did, but right now June legitimately feels like a month we could look back on as the point where it all came together for the young catcher.

Salem W 7-5

Corey Littrell: 7 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K

Greenville L 3-10

Forrestt Allday: 0-5, K
Tzu-Wei Lin: 0-4, K
Wendell Rijo: 1-3, 2B, BB
Manuel Margot: 1-3, BB

Teddy Stankiewicz: 4 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR

Ten days ago, Teddy Stankiewicz seemed to have fully rebounded from his slow start. Nine innings and twelve runs later, it's back to the drawing board.

GCL Red Sox W 11-8

Josh Ockimey: 1-4, 2 K
Victor Acosta: 1-5, 2B
Trenton Kemp: 1-5

DSL Red Sox W 8-2

Luis Alexander Basabe: 1-4, 2 K
Rafael Devers: 1-2, 2 BB

Devers still can't get past whatever red tape is holding up his move to the GCL, but I still fully expect he'll start 2015 in Greenville. Rookie ball is looking like a cake walk, and keeping him out of games for XST just seems like a waste of time.
