Mike Napoli will be making his return to the Red Sox lineup, batting fifth and playing first base against Anibal Sanchez and the Detroit Tigers.

Even with Mike Napoli back, the Red Sox will keep Brock Holt's bat in the lineup by shifting him to left field. With the right-handed Anibal Sanchez on the mound for Detroit, Daniel Nava will get the call for duty in right field over Jonny Gomes.
With John Lackey on the mound for the Red Sox, this is another pitching matchup that promises a duel. But if we've learned anything from last night (and, y'know, from better than 100 years of baseball), there's no guarantees in baseball. If Jon Lester and Max Scherzer can surrender a combined nine runs, John Lackey and Anibal Sanchez can certainly both have bad nights as well.
First pitch is at 8:07 p.m. ET with ESPN and WEEI carrying the broadcast duties.
