The Red Sox will have Stephen Drew back in the starting lineup Sunday afternoon, but at the cost of losing Xander Bogaerts for a day.
The word on Xander Bogaerts is that he's out sick, and will hopefully be back in the lineup tomorrow against the Twins. Good news given that he's basically the biggest bright spot on the team this year. In the meantime, Grady Sizemore acts as the effective replacement, with Brock Holt returning to the infield for a day.
As for Stephen Drew, the Red Sox could use a few big weeks out of him. Whether it's to help the team get back in this thing or just to build value on the trade market, their shortstop is certainly capable of more than he produced in their first four games. Hopefully his oblique injury won't prove too much of a setback given how much catching up he's already had to do.
First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. ET with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
