When Will Middlebrooks was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a calf strain on Sunday afternoon, the Red Sox recalled infielder Brock Holt from Pawtucket to take his place on the roster. When Boston signed free-agent infielder Ryan Roberts to a major-league deal roughly 24 hours later, Holt was sent back down I-95 and the PawSox in Rhode Island to make room on the roster once again.
As Holt is an active Twitter participant, it didn't take long to get his thoughts on the matter:
Well...that was fun. At least my groceries won't go bad now.

Don't worry, Brock. Someday your groceries will spoil while you're in Boston. Someday.
