The Red Sox may have been in a hurry to sign Ryan Roberts with Will Middlebrooks on the disabled list, but they're in no hurry to get him his first start with the right-handed Tanner Scheppers taking the mound for the Texas Rangers.

It's been a rough weekend for the Red Sox, to say the least. One which saw no shortage of questionable play in the outfield, which makes the sight of a trio featuring both Grady Sizemore and Jackie Bradley Jr. quite the comfort. Daniel Nava's deficiencies will be masked in front of the wall, and given his track record there should be less chance of said wall tripping him up than, say, Mike Carp.
Right now, though, what the Red Sox need more than anything is for John Lackey to just put his foot down on this losing streak. The Rangers have a dangerous lineup, and all the outfield defense in the world is not going to be enough to save the Red Sox if Lackey lets the likes of Shin-Soo Choo, Prince Fielder, and good ol' Adrian Beltre leave the yard.
The ship needs to be righted before it gets too far off course. Avoiding 2-5 would be a big first step.
