Red Sox minor lines: Will Middlebrooks rehabs...poorly

Will Middlebrooks is playing again, but not terribly well.

Pawtucket W 3-1

Alex Hassan: 0-3, BB, K
Will Middlebrooks: 0-3, 3 K
Garin Cecchini: 1-1, 2B
Ryan Lavarnway: 2-4
Bryce Brentz: 1-3, BB, 2 K
Dan Butler: 1-4, 2 K

Allen Webster: 6.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Actually, how would we define a poor rehab game? Is it one in which the player does not perform well? Or given the nature of rehab assignments do we consider anything without further injury a success? I mean, it's not like Will exactly tested his physical capabilities by never needing to even leave the batter's box, but still, there's something to be said for being another day closer, right?

Salem W 4-2

Corey Littrell: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Austin Maddox: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Madison Younginer: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K

Not one, not two, but three names for Salem! This is a brave new world we're witnessing right here, folks.

Greenville W 6-0

Tzu-Wei Lin: 1-4, SB
Manuel Margot: 0-4
Wendell Rijo: 2-4, 2B, K, E

Jamie Callahan: 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

Tzu-Wei Lin and Manuel Margot have both been scuffling at the plate some of late. Small sample size BABIP could be said to be at work some in both cases, but Margot could really use some of that power he showed early in the season, while Lin, as a contact/discipline player, will always be subject to some of these mini-slumps.
