Jon Lester is on the Cubs now. His last team wasn't even the Red Sox, it was the one Boston traded him to, the Athletics. After signing his new six-year, $155 million deal with Chicago, however, Lester took to Twitter to thank Red Sox fans for their support over the years.
Extremely difficult decision for me and my family but we love the outcome and couldn't be more excited to join the Cubs organization! #NVRQT

To Red Sox Nation, I understand the disappointment. Boston will always have a big place in my heart and we'll always consider y'all family!

You were homegrown, helped the Red Sox win two World Series, threw almost 1,600 innings in the majors with Boston, and just might be the most successful lefty the organization has developed. It's cool, Jon. Good luck in Chicago.
