Matt Barnes has allowed a fair few runs this year. But so did Henry Owens last year, and look how that's turned out.

Alas, not everyone can debut like Ranaudo and Owens. But on the bright side, Keith Couch is not nearly so important a piece of the puzzle as either of those two.

Matt Barnes had a streak of four games with one earned run or less. Ironically, it's his best game peripherally-speaking in the past month which snaps that streak. He could definitely be in line for a Henry Owens-like correction year in 2014.
