Starting Pitcher -- Brandon McCarthy
After facing Felix Hernandez, Randall Delgado, and Patrick Corbin over the past three games, Brandon McCarthy seems like something of a reprieve for the Red Sox lineup. A strike-thrower first, McCarthy doesn't overpower batters, and while that style should play well with the Diamondbacks' impressive defense, that hasn't been the case so far this season, with McCarthy sporting a hefty 5.00 ERA. Playing in Fenway Park can't help.
Add in Felix Doubront, who hasn't allowed more than three earned runs since May 8th, and this looks like a positive matchup for the Red Sox. Now they just have to make good on it.
