Pawtucket W 3-0
Jackie Bradley Jr.: 2-4
Jeremy Hazelbaker: 0-3, 2 K, SB
Clayton Mortensen: 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K
The more we've seen of Mort in the majors, the more it's seemed like he's just not a thing. But in 21 innings as a starter for Pawtucket now, he's got a 1.29 ERA, 17 strikeouts, and six walks. That's not bad.
Portland W 3-2
Deven Marrero: 0-4, K
Garin Cecchini: 1-3, BB, K, SB
Michael Almanzar: 2-3, BB
Travis Shaw: 1-4
Noe Ramirez: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Speaking of positive role changes, Noe's continues to work out just fine. With all the quality starting pitching in the system, it's nice to see a solid bullpen arm working its way up as well. No, he won't be a late-inning guy, most likely, but guys like Ramirez can fill out the bottom half of the bullpen with reasonable options as compared to the likes of Vicente Padilla last year.
God that Yankees game still burns.
Salem W 9-2
Sean Coyle: 1-4, BB, 2 K
Henry Ramos: 0-5, K
Keury De La Cruz: 2-5, 3B
Blake Swihart: 2-4, 2B, 3B
Mookie Betts: 1-3, BB, SB
Blake Swihart is a catcher. Blake Swihart has seven triples in 93 games. Nobody tell him that's not how that's supposed to work.
Greenville L 1-5
Kendrick Perkins: 1-3, BB, K
Jose Vinicio: 0-3, K, CS
Brian Johnson: 6 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
Even Brian Johnson's worst games of late make you wonder how they happened. Five baserunners making for three runs? It's weird how we have a first round pick just being dominant in Greenville and nobody is batting an eyelash. Gotta love this farm system.
Lowell W 6-2
Forrestt Allday: 0-2, BB
Williams Jerez: 0-3, K
Teddy Stankiewicz: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
GCL Red Sox W 5-1
Bryce Brentz: 2-4, 2B, HR, BB
Jordon Austin: 1-3, BB, K, 2 SB
