Red Sox vs. Mariners: Tired Sox face off against Felix Hernandez

It's a tired Red Sox lineup that will step to the plate against the dominant Felix Hernandez Thursday night.

After playing 15 innings Wednesday night, it's one tired Red Sox team that's set to face no less than Felix Hernandez.

  3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
  4. David Ortiz, DH
  5. Mike Carp, 1B

Seattle Mariners (50-57)

  3. Kyle Seager, 3B
  4. Kendrys Morales, DH
  5. Michael Saunders, CF
  6. Justin Smoak, 1B
  7. Endy Chavez, RF
  8. Dustin Ackley, LF
  9. Henry Blanco, C

Starting Pitcher -- Felix Hernandez

If there's one pitcher a team really needs to be at 100% to have a chance against, Felix is that one. If there is good news, it's probably more in the fact that the Red Sox took the first two games of this series already, and that they're getting both Ryan Dempster's start and the post-extra-innings game out of the way in a game that would be hard to win to begin with.

There's hope. There's always hope. Especially with this lineup. But Felix is Felix. This could be another long night, albeit in a very different way.
