Red Sox vs. Pades lineups: Sox go right-handed behind Allen Webster

The Red Sox will stack the lineup with righties as they send Allen Webster to the hill against the left-handed Eric Stults.

It's a right-handed heavy lineup for the Red Sox this July 4th as they stack the order against southpaw Eric Stults.

San Diego Padres (40-45)

Starting Pitcher -- Eric Stults

So, if you were looking for the game the Red Sox were supposed to lose in this series, here it is. Allen Webster hasn't been reliable this season in the least, though he was at least passable in his last outing against Toronto. And while all of Eric Stults' more impressive numbers still leave him with just a 101 ERA+ and 4.21 xFIP, he's certainly kept runs off the board so far as his strange late-bloomer career chugs along.

Still, the Red Sox have won quite a few games that were perhaps not in their favor this year. Things really don't tend to go the way you'd expect them to around this club. See last night's pitching duel for an example of that. And if Allen Webster can get any team out, the Padres might be the one. Here's hoping.
