Starting Pitcher -- Hiroki Kuroda
There's actually a couple noteworthy names today, even past Stephen Drew. Jonny Gomes will get another start, this time against a righty as Shane Victorino misses the game, presumably still bothered by the hamstring which acted up again early in last night's name.
Mike Carp, too, will get the call in place of the usual starter in Mike Napoli. Carp hasn't brought much magic to the plate so far in July, but if he can turn it on again, with Mike Napoli continuing to struggle, John Farrell might start seeing first base as more of a platoon than he has so far this season.
Otherwise it's a pretty typical batting order set to take on Hiroki Kuroda, who has been rather more than ordinary this season. The Red Sox have been a problem he's struggled to solve, but it won't be too terribly surprising to see him matching John Lackey inning-for-inning.
